Signing an operational and management agreement to SAMED's well

The Mayor of Jericho, H.E. Mr. Abdul Karim Sedir, signed with the head of Palestinian Water Authority,H.E Eng. Mazen Ghoneim, in presence Minister of Economy, Eng. Khaled Esaileh an agreement to manage and operate a water well Samed, during an official ceremony held today at the site of the well in Jericho, under the patronage of the Palestinian Prime Minister. Dr. Muhammad Shtayieh, in presence of the Governor of Jericho and Jordan Valley, Mr. Jihad Youssef, and His Excellency the Representative of Japan in Palestine, Mr. Nakashima Yoichi, and His Excellency the Special Representative of the Director-General of the United Nations Development Program, Ms. Ivon Helay

This project comes within the framework of the United Nations Development Program / Assistance Program to Palestinian People UNDP / PAPP, and funded by Japanese government, with the aim of diversifying water resources of Jericho to supply the agro-industrial park, and to enhance water on the municipal network to provide water to residents of Jericho.
